Recently, my son Brent bought his very first home in the Westchase community in Tampa.
Why did he select Westchase? Westchase is a master planned community of over 2,000 acres located in Tampa. It’s about 20 minutes from downtown Tampa 15 minutes from Tampa International Airport. While his office is in downtown Tampa, his job requires him to travel often. Having a short drive to the airport was one of his top priorities.
Westchase has over 3400 single family homes and town homes in 29 neighborhoods offering a distinct close-knit urban neighborhood feel. Homes include condos, townhomes, villas, porch style homes and traditional single-family homes as well. Because he is a single first-time homebuyer with a very demanding job he decided a town home was his best choice.
Currently, home prices in the community range from $170,000 to over $800,000.
Westchase has two Swim & Tennis Centers, two playgrounds, sport fields and picnic pavilions and the Westchase Town Centers filled with retail shops, markets, cafes, banks, restaurants, bars, professional offices, daycare, salons, dry cleaners, preschools, coffee shops and gyms. Plus they have a golf course, Brent played a lot of golf in college- he worked at the school’s golf course.
Westchase is also close to the Suncoast beaches, three major shopping malls and lots of fantastic restaurants.
